Factoryville Borough encourages recycling with the service of a trailer on the property of the municipal garage on Creek Road in Clinton Township. Recycling is not free to Factoryville Borough. The Wyoming County Recycling Center charges a per ton fee for disposal of the collection. That is why ONLY RESIDENTS of Factoryville Borough and Clinton Township are permitted to recycle at the trailer. It is only fair that only those residents whose taxes pay for the recycling disposal are allowed to dispose there. If you are aware of any violators of this restriction, please notify Factoryville Borough at 570-945-7484 or Clinton Township at 570-945-9576. Thank you.
Factoryville Borough and Clinton Township take alternating months driving the recycling trailer to the Wyoming County Recycling Center in Tunkhannock several times a week for disposal. We do quite a hearty business at the recycling trailer and we appreciate your commitment to this environmentally conscious necessity.
The trailer accepts the following items only:
- Plastic-Only Bottle and Jars with 1 & 2 on Bottom
- Clear and Brown Glass Food and Drink Containers
- Tin Cans-Must be Clean; Labels can be left on
- Aluminum Cans/Pie Pans
- Corrugated Cardboard
- Newspapers and Brown Paper Bags
- Magazines – Stapled and Glue bindings are acceptable
- Office Paper – White ledger and white computer paper
In addition to the recycling items above, the Wyoming County Recycling Centers offers periodic e-cycling days for the disposal of electronics such as computers, printers and televisions. Factoryville Borough holds a spring cleanup day for larger household items in May each year.
